Why should you think more about eco-friendly baby products?
Have you always been conscious of the environment? Or perhaps since having a baby, you’ve seen all the ‘stuff’ that comes along with it and you’ve realised it’s all a bit much. You’re not alone if you’ve decided now is the time to embrace being a bit more eco-friendly.
Whatever your journey, we welcome you to Santos Organics. Our eco-friendly baby products are better for the environment and you can feel reassured you’re making the healthiest choice for your bub.
What are the best organic baby products?
Your baby’s skin is incredibly delicate and is much thinner than an adult's skin. By choosing organic baby products, you’re not using chemicals on their skin which can harm it.
Our organic baby skin care products such as the Nature's Child Bottom Balm and Nature’s Child Wonder Balm are certified organic and contain all natural ingredients including beeswax, olive oil, and almond oil. Plus, they smell divine!
What are some ways we can be more eco-friendly as parents?
It’s easy to get swept up in all the things you need for a new baby. From cots to change tables, strollers to swings, many of us make the mistake of buying lots of products then realising the baby doesn’t need most of it. So how can you avoid it, and how can you make sure the products you do buy are more eco-friendly?
One tip is to buy second hand or borrow where you can. Babies use clothes, cots, prams and carriers for such a short period of time. It makes sense to reuse as much of it as possible to avoid any of it heading for landfill.
For the things you need to buy new, consider organic and environmentally friendly products. Reusable nappies can be an enormous help for the environment as it means less disposable nappies end up in landfill.
You can also be mindful about the number of plastic products you’re buying. Consider wooden toys, stainless steel drink bottles and sustainable rubber soothers. While they’re only slight changes, if every new parent makes them, it could make a big difference to the future of our children.
