Santos Organics x Save Wallum
Save Wallum is a grass-roots community led, volunteer run campaign, with ongoing expenses.
The 'Wallum' area is a place of deep cultural and ecological significance. ‘Wallum’ constitutes a significant part of the mere 1% remaining Wallum Heathland in Byron Shire - the only representation of this ecological community in Brunswick Heads.

76 old-growth Scribbly Gums will be destroyed if this development goes ahead.
Some of these Scribbly Gums are 300-400 years old, bearing large hollows that provide irreplaceable habitat for wildlife, including the Black Glossy Cockatoo & endangered Koala.
Santos Organics has been working with local artist Binx Designs to help raise important funds so that 'Wallum' can continue to be protected. Funds raised will go towards presenting arguments to the government and developers, supporting advertising, marketing, merchandise, media, communications, lobbying, negotiations, vigil camp expenses, equipment, and more.
This unique commissioned piece is acrylic paint on ply board and is an impressive 1.5m x 2.1m. It features local Wallum flora and fauna including; Scribbly Gum, Collard Kingfisher, Pink Nodding Orchids, Sedge Frog, Brown Snake, Glossy Black Cockatoo and Common Planigale.

Binx Designs
Binx is a very talented multi-disciplinary artist living in the Northern Rivers. Her art is an exploration of her many multifacted interests and uses the language of pattern, nature and portraiture to evoke a sense of nostalgia. Each piece is a unique visual snapshot infused with a sense of freedom and soul.
Binx spent time on country at 'Wallum' to capture the essence of the area and some of its special inhabitants in her design. This piece was created live by Binx in our Byron Bay store.
