Gaiaganic Hydro Peroxide Food 35% 500ml
The purest hydrogen peroxide you can buy in Australia
Not all hydrogen peroxide is created equal. The brown bottle from the chemist is a 3% pharmaceutical grade solution - effective for first aid, but loaded with stabilisers like acetanilide and sodium stannate that you really don't want near your food, your toothbrush, or your kitchen bench.
Gaiaganic's 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide is a completely different product. Made in Australia and certified food grade, it contains nothing but pure H₂O₂ - no preservatives, no stabilisers, no additives. When it does its job, it breaks down into just water and oxygen, leaving absolutely no harmful residue behind.
One bottle, dozens of uses
At 35% concentration, this bottle is the most efficient way to buy hydrogen peroxide. Diluted down to 3% (simply mix 1 part H₂O₂ with 11 parts water), it becomes a genuinely versatile natural cleaner and disinfectant:
-
Wash and sanitise fruit and vegetables - removes pesticide residue and extends freshness
-
Non-toxic kitchen bench and chopping board sanitiser
-
Natural mould and mildew remover for bathrooms and grout
-
Eco-friendly laundry brightener - safe alternative to chlorine bleach
-
Plant care - promotes healthy root systems and discourages fungal growth
-
Natural mouthwash when diluted to 1% - helps with oral health and minor gum irritation
-
Food preparation surface sterilisation
Why 35% instead of 3%?
Buying concentrated 35% is better for the planet and your wallet. One 500ml bottle of 35% produces approximately 6 litres of ready-to-use 3% solution - a fraction of the packaging, a fraction of the transport footprint. It also stays potent for much longer when stored correctly.
How to dilute safely
To make a 3% solution: mix 1 part 35% hydrogen peroxide with 11 parts water. Always add the H₂O₂ to the water - not the other way around. Store your diluted solution in a dark glass or HDPE bottle.
⚠ 35% hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidiser and must be handled with care. Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling the undiluted product. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest undiluted.
How to store
Free from stabilisers, this product is best stored in the fridge or freezer, or at minimum in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Stored correctly, it will remain potent for years.
