Organic Raw Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E. About 20 percent of raw almonds are high-quality protein, a third of which are essential amino acids. They are also rich in dietary fibre, B vitamins, essential minerals, and monounsaturated fats, one of the two fats which potentially may lower LDL cholesterol. Typical of nuts and seeds, almonds also contain phytosterols, associated with cholesterol-lowering properties. Potential health benefits may include improved complexion and possibly a lower risk of cancer.
Organic Raw Almonds are super versatile. They can be used in raw and cooked, sweet and savoury recipes such as raw desserts, crackers, dips, sauces, cakes, bread, energy balls, muffins and biscuits. Almonds also are a great topping for smoothie bowls, porridge or in muesli. Almonds can be ground into nut butter, almond meal or turned into a plant based milk. Raw or activated almonds make the perfect delicious, healthy snack on their own or added to a trail mix.
We recommend storing nuts well sealed either, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight or in the fridge (especially for those in warmer climates).
