Organic Pecans
Organic Pecans are a nut from a species of hickory trees native to northern Mexico and the Southern United States.
Organic Pecans are a nutritional powerhouse loaded with vitamins and minerals. Some of these vitamins and minerals include vitamin A, folate, thiamine, vitamin E, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc and vitamin B6. Raw Pecans are also free from cholesterol, sodium and are low in carbohydrates.
Pecans have a rich, buttery, slightly sweet flavour and crisp, creamy texture. They can be enjoyed in many different ways. Pecans make the perfect snack either on their own or in a trail mix with other nuts, seeds and dried fruit. These nuts are delicious in a muesli or as a topping for breakfast meals or smoothie bowls. Pecans go well in raw or baked sweet treats such as bread, muffins, cakes, biscuits, muesli bars, raw slices and brownies. Pecans can also be used for savoury food. Try sprinkling these nuts over salads, stir fries or hot dishes.
We recommend storing nuts well sealed either, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight or in the fridge (especially for those in warmer climates).
