Ingredients:
- 250 ml Coconut cream
- 650 ml Water
- 50 ml Coconut oil
- 100 gm Coconut desiccated
- 30 gm Turmeric
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- ½ tsp Coriander seeds
- 2 Cardamom pods
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
Method:
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat bring coconut cream and water to a boil, turn off and set aside
- In a seperate medium saucepan over medium-low heat, fry turmeric and spices in coconut oil
- Add in rice and continue to fry until the rice becomes glassy
- Add hot liquids, salt & pepper and bring to a simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, covered
