View full detailsThere are so many benefits to eating organic food. Organic farming is better for the environment. Organic farmers use more sustainable practices and try to work within existing ecosystems.
Food from organic farms don’t contain pesticides and other chemicals such as insecticides, fumigants, herbicides, and fungicides. When you’re trying to live a low-tox lifestyle, this is really important.
Organic food can even be healthier - research has found some organic foods have lower nitrate levels, higher vitamin C levels and higher levels of some minerals.
We’ve got to admit though - the biggest benefit is the taste. When you don’t use preservatives, your food is fresher and tastes so much better.
This can be tricky. A food product can be called ‘organic’ when pesticides and synthetic chemicals haven’t been used in growing, harvesting and processing.
However, in Australia, it’s a voluntary standard. Not everyone has to be certified to call their product organic.
However, you don’t need to worry about that when you buy from Santos Organics. All our food and beverages are ACO Australian Certified Organic. This means you know all our food meets strict quality and organic standards.
When you shop for health food online, you want to know you can trust what you’re buying. At Santos Organics, we do the research so you don’t have to.
We check every product in our store to make sure they don’t contain toxic additives or ingredients such as synthetic chemicals, petrochemicals, parabens, artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives.
When compared to other organic bulk food stores, our prices are cheaper. Where we can, we support local produce and Australian organic farmers. Generally, if a bulk organic product isn't local and from overseas it is because we can't get it in Australia, this is often because of droughts or floods. Or for example some spices are not always grown organically in Australia.
We are passionate about healthy organic food so we only stock products made from high quality unprocessed ingredients.
