Start the New Year on a healthy note with this refreshing green smoothie, boosted with a hint of your favourite superfoods to kick off your post holiday detox!

Makes: 2 smoothies
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 frozen bananas
  • 1 large handful spinach
  • 2 tspn turmeric powder
  • Zest of 1/2 orange
  • 6 dates
  • 1.5- 2 cups coconut water (depending on how thick you want it )
  • 1 tsp of your favourite green superfood powder: spirulina, wheat grass powder or barley grass powder.

Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
  2. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
