Hiltona Organic Prunes with Pits 250g

$4.25

Sun-dried Australian organic prunes, with pits intact. Nothing added, nothing removed.

Hiltona Organic Prunes are whole dried plums grown and sun-dried in Australia, certified organic, with the stone left in. Prunes with pits dry more slowly than pitted varieties, which keeps more moisture in the fruit and produces a plumper, juicier, chewier result. The flavour is deep, sweet, and slightly jammy, with the concentrated intensity you get from fruit that's been allowed to dry properly rather than processed quickly.

The 250g bag is the everyday size, enough for snacking through the week, adding to a cheeseboard, or keeping in the pantry for cooking and baking.

Why people love them

  • Certified organic, grown and sun-dried in Australia
  • Whole prunes with pits, naturally juicier and plumper than pitted varieties
  • No added sugar, no preservatives, no sulphites, no artificial anything
  • Source of dietary fibre
  • Naturally vegan and gluten free
  • 250g resealable bag

How to use them

  • Straight from the bag: as a snack on their own, or as part of a trail mix with nuts and dark chocolate
  • Cheese boards: pair with aged cheddar, manchego, or blue cheese
  • Baking: add to fruit cakes, Christmas puddings, sticky date puddings, or oat slice
  • Slow cooking: simmer with lamb, chicken, or pork for a Moroccan-style tagine. Prunes dissolve into the sauce and deepen the flavour significantly
  • Compote: stew in a small amount of water with cinnamon and orange zest for a simple breakfast compote over yoghurt or porridge
  • Blending: pit and blend into a smooth paste as a natural sweetener and binding agent in energy balls, raw slices, and bliss balls

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Seal the bag tightly after opening. Best consumed within 3 months of opening for optimal texture and flavour, though they'll keep longer if stored well.

Lovely Juicy and Tasty Prunes.

I bought the prunes in bulk because I've heard they're good for bone health (I have osteoporosis). I was expecting to have to force myself to eat them regularly but the opposite is true. I have to force myself to stop.
Super efficient and speedy delivery. Great price, excellent product... Yum !!
