Ceres Organics LSA with Probiotics 200g
Certified organic LSA - ground linseed, sunflower seed, and almond with added Ganeden BC30 probiotic. The everyday sprinkle-on-anything pantry staple.
LSA stands for linseed (flaxseed), sunflower, and almond. In that ratio: 50% linseed, 35% sunflower seed, and 15% almond, all certified organic and ground into a fine, speckled meal. It's one of the most popular everyday food supplements in the Australian natural foods market, used by people who want to add plant-based protein, omega-3 fatty acids (ALA), and dietary fibre to meals without changing what they're eating.
This version from Ceres Organics has an added probiotic: Ganeden BC30 (Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086), a heat-stable probiotic strain that survives the grinding process and remains viable in dry storage. The probiotic is carried on agave inulin, a prebiotic fibre. All ingredients in the probiotic blend are certified organic.
Ceres packages this in home compostable packaging, one of the few LSA products on the Australian market in genuinely compostable packaging rather than conventional plastic.

How to use it
LSA is designed to be added to food without changing what you're eating. A few tablespoons a day is the standard serve.
- Smoothies and juices: one to two tablespoons blended in, it thickens slightly and adds a light nuttiness
- Porridge and overnight oats: stir in just before serving or during soaking
- Yoghurt and acai bowls: sprinkle over the top
- Granola and muesli: mix in before serving
- Baking: add to muffin, banana bread, or pancake batter. Works well in dense, moist bakes
- Energy balls and bliss balls: adds binding, flavour, and nutrition to raw treats
- Soups and stews: stir into the finished dish for body and texture without noticeable flavour change
- Savoury dishes: mix into vegetable patties, rissoles, or burger mixes
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, seal tightly and refrigerate for best freshness. Ground linseed contains natural oils that oxidise at room temperature. Use within 2 to 3 months of opening for best quality. The probiotic strain (Ganeden BC30) is heat-stable and survives dry storage without refrigeration, but refrigerating the opened bag is still recommended to preserve the oil quality of the ground seeds.
