Mariefields Certified Organic Raw Rainforest Honey 500g
Raw organic honey from a rainforest apiary in Tyalgum, Northern Rivers. Produced on a farm that has used no chemicals or insecticides for over 30 years.
Mariefields is a family farmstay in Tyalgum in the hinterland behind the Gold Coast, operating as a fully organic farm since the early 1990s. The honey comes from hives placed in their pristine rainforest and in the adjacent national park, where the bees forage on rainforest trees and wildflowers that have never been exposed to synthetic chemicals or agricultural sprays.
The result is a raw, unfiltered honey with the complex, layered flavour that comes from diverse rainforest flora rather than a single crop source. Rainforest honey varies batch to batch depending on what's flowering - that variation is part of what makes it interesting. The colour ranges from golden amber to dark amber, and the flavour is rich, slightly earthy, and deeply complex.
The 500g jar is the everyday size, right for a household using honey regularly across breakfast, baking, and cooking.
