Coconut cream vs coconut milk - how to choose
Both are OnRich single-ingredient organic products available at Santos:
- Coconut cream (this product): thicker, richer, higher fat. Best for desserts, whipped cream, rich curries, and recipes where creaminess is the main goal
- Coconut milk: lighter, more pourable. Best for everyday curries, soups, rice cooking, and smoothies
How to use it
- Rich curries: stir through at the end of cooking for a thick, creamy finish
- Whipped coconut cream: refrigerate overnight, scoop the solidified cream layer, and whip with a little vanilla and maple syrup for a dairy-free whipped cream
- Desserts: used in panna cotta, puddings, ice cream, and custards where a thick, creamy base is needed
- Baking: folded into cakes, muffins, and slices as a dairy-free cream substitute
- Satay and peanut sauces: whisked in for a thick, rich coating sauce

Natural separation is normal. The cream layer will solidify at the top when cold. Shake or stir well before use for a consistent texture, or scoop the cream layer directly for recipes that call for solid coconut cream.
Storage
Store in a cool dry place. Once opened, transfer unused contents to an airtight container and refrigerate. Use within 3 to 4 days of opening.
