Chef's Choice Three Olives Extra Virgin Olive Oil 3lt

$98.70

A single-ingredient certified organic extra virgin olive oil, unfiltered and cold-pressed from hand-picked Mediterranean olives in Tunisia. The 3L bulk size for households and food businesses that cook with quality olive oil daily.

Three Olives Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made the traditional way: organically grown olives, hand-picked and cold-pressed using old-world production methods, with no filtering. Leaving the oil unfiltered preserves the natural olive particulates that carry flavour and aroma, giving the oil a slightly cloudy appearance and a richer, more complex character than filtered EVOO.

The flavour is earthy, mild, and fruity, with a gentle peppery finish characteristic of quality extra virgin oil. Tunisia is one of the world's oldest olive-growing regions, with cultivation records dating back thousands of years and growing conditions that produce olives with a distinctly Mediterranean character.

At 3L, this is the format for households that go through olive oil weekly, cafes and food businesses cooking at volume, and anyone who has done the maths on quality organic EVOO per litre and decided the 1L bottle isn't keeping up. Decant into a smaller bottle for daily use and keep the bulk container sealed in a cool dark spot.

How to use it

  • Everyday cooking: sauteing, stir-frying, and roasting at low to medium heat. Extra virgin olive oil is stable up to around 190°C
  • Dressings and vinaigrettes: the mild, fruity character works in simple lemon and olive oil dressings, balsamic vinaigrettes, and tahini-based dressings
  • Finishing oil: drizzle over soups, pasta, grilled fish, roasted vegetables, hummus, and bruschetta just before serving
  • Dipping: pour into a shallow bowl with sea salt, cracked pepper, and dried herbs alongside good bread
  • Marinades: combine with garlic, lemon, and herbs for meat, fish, or vegetable marinades
  • Baking: substitute for butter in Mediterranean-style cakes, focaccia, and flatbreads
  • Food service: a reliable, cost-effective organic EVOO for cafes, catering, and commercial kitchens

A note on using the 3L format

Olive oil is best kept away from heat, light, and air. For the 3L container, decant a working portion (250 to 500ml) into a smaller dark glass bottle for daily use at the stovetop. Keep the bulk container sealed and stored in a cool, dark pantry or cupboard. This preserves the oil's quality across the full volume and prevents repeated exposure of the bulk supply to air.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Use within 18 months of production or before the best before date on the container. Do not refrigerate. Once opened, aim to use within 3 to 6 months for best flavour.
