Spiral Foods Organic Tamari 250ml
A naturally fermented Japanese tamari from whole organic soybeans. No wheat, no gluten, no MSG. The 250ml size for smaller households or trying it for the first time.
Spiral Foods Organic Tamari is made the traditional Japanese way: organic whole soybeans, water, sea salt, koji spores, and time. Tamari is the liquid that rises to the surface during miso fermentation. Unlike most commercial soy sauces, it contains no wheat, which makes it naturally gluten free and gives it a richer, rounder, more complex flavour than standard shoyu.
The 250ml bottle is the right size for occasional cooks, smaller households, or anyone wanting to try Spiral's tamari before committing to the 500ml. If you go through tamari regularly, the 500ml is better value per millilitre.
Spiral Foods has been importing and distributing Japanese organic foods in Australia since the 1970s, founded in Melbourne by a community committed to wholesome, traditional, macrobiotic eating. Their tamari is produced in Japan from certified organic soybeans and is one of the most consistently stocked tamari brands in the Australian natural foods market.

By incorporating supply agreements and mutual marketing support, we foster connections between customers and the farmers behind their food.
Santos Organics significantly impacts the local community and economy. Over the last three years, our investments in local employment, goods from local suppliers and distributors, rent, and hiring local tradespeople have retained over $26 million within the Northern Rivers. In the past year alone, $5.3 million was circulated back into the local economy through these efforts, supporting over 100 Northern Rivers-based suppliers and distributors. This investment sustains our community's vitality and unique culture. Employing over 70 local team members ensures money stays within the local economy, enhancing opportunities for community interaction and support.
