Riega Organic Seasoning Taco 25.5g
A bold, classic taco seasoning blend made from six certified organic herbs and spices. No fillers, no anti-caking agents, no artificial flavours. The original Riega recipe, and still their most popular.
Riega Organic Taco Seasoning is built on the six ingredients that make a great taco seasoning: organic chilli peppers for heat and colour, organic cumin for earthiness and depth, organic garlic and onion (both powder and flake) for aromatic backbone, and organic oregano for the herbal note that lifts the whole blend. Sea salt ties it together. Nothing synthetic, nothing unnecessary.
One 25.5g pouch seasons approximately 500g of protein or vegetables. Use it in the pan, in a marinade, or as a dry rub. Works equally well on beef, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, or any roasted vegetable.
USDA Organic certified. Tested gluten free through an independent laboratory. Certified kosher. Vegan. Packaged in a dedicated gluten-free facility in the USA.

How to use it
Classic tacos (serves 4): heat a tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add 500g of ground beef, chicken, or your choice of protein and cook until browned. Add the full 25.5g pouch of seasoning and 125ml of water. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve in warm corn or flour tortillas with your choice of toppings.
A few other uses:
- Roasted vegetables: toss with olive oil and the seasoning before roasting at 200°C for 25 to 30 minutes
- Taco bowls: season black beans, lentils, or chickpeas in a pan for a plant-based taco bowl filling
- Marinade: rub onto chicken or steak with a little olive oil and lime juice and leave 30 minutes before grilling
- Taco soup: add to a pot with stock, tomatoes, corn, beans, and your choice of protein for a simple one-pot meal
- Nachos seasoning: toss with corn chips or potato wedges before baking
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Once opened, seal tightly or transfer to an airtight container. May clump slightly due to the absence of anti-caking agents - this is normal and doesn’t affect quality or flavour.
