Organic Brown Linseed, also known as flaxseed, is a powerful seed packed full of nutrients. Did you know, flaxseed was cultivated in Babylon as early as 3000 BC. Organic Brown Linseed is best cracked or ground before using, or chewed very well. This way your body can break down the seed and absorb the nutrients. Linseed can be ground with almonds and sunflower seeds to create fresh LSA. This is a great healthy addition to breakfast meals or smoothies. Whole or cracked Linseed is also a popular ingredient for many cake, muffin, bread, cracker, energy ball, muesli bar and biscuit recipes.When soaked they get gelatinous which can be used in some recipes as an egg-replacer. It can also be enjoyed tossed in a salad or in a hot savoury dish.
