Marilyns Health Diatomaceous Earth 450g
100% natural fossil shell flour from freshwater diatom deposits. Fine white powder with no fillers, no additives, no synthetic chemicals. 450g resealable bag.
Diatomaceous earth (also called fossil shell flour) is a naturally occurring mineral powder made from the fossilised shells of microscopic freshwater algae called diatoms. These ancient shells are composed primarily of amorphous silica. When mined and milled into a fine powder, the result is a versatile, chemical-free product with a wide range of home, garden, and pet care uses.
Marilyn’s Diatomaceous Earth Shell Powder is a single-ingredient, food-grade quality product with no fillers, preservatives, or additives.
Common uses
Garden: applied around plants as a natural barrier against crawling insects and garden pests. Sprinkle around the base of plants and along pest entry points. Reapply after rain.
Home: dusted in cracks, along skirting boards, and in areas where insects travel. Used in pantry storage areas to deter insects.
Pets: sprinkled into pet bedding and on pet coats to deter external parasites. Work into fur against the skin and leave for several hours before brushing out. Keep away from eyes and mouth.
Livestock and chicken coops: dusted into bedding and nesting areas as a natural pest deterrent.
