Maple Moon’s Pure Carob & Cacao Butter bar is the foundation of the entire range - the bar Carli made first when she wanted a smooth, naturally sweet, caffeine-free treat she could eat at night without the stimulant effects of cacao. Two certified organic ingredients: carob powder for natural earthy sweetness, and cacao butter for the smooth, melt-in-mouth chocolate-like texture. That’s it.
No fruit pieces, no nuts, no crunch, no herbs - just pure, clean carob. The flavour is mild and gently sweet with a subtle earthy depth and a hint of caramel that develops as the bar melts. For anyone tasting carob for the first time, this is the right starting point. For carob regulars, it’s the bar you come back to.
Cacao butter is the fat pressed from cacao beans. It carries the smooth, velvety melt-point of chocolate without any of the stimulating compounds found in cacao powder or cacao nibs. Carob powder is naturally sweet - significantly more so than unsweetened cacao - which is why this bar needs no added sugar despite containing no sweetener at all.

How to enjoy it
Eat at room temperature for the smoothest texture. This bar is particularly good slightly chilled - the clean carob flavour comes through clearly when cool. Works well as an after-dinner chocolate alternative, broken into small pieces alongside herbal tea, or simply eaten straight from the pack.
Storage: store in a cool, dry, dark place between 15°C and 22°C. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat. Refrigerate in summer.
