Maple Moon Peppermint Buckwheat Carob Bar 90g
A smooth carob bar with a cool burst of peppermint and activated buckwheat throughout for crunch. Four certified organic ingredients, handmade in Byron Bay. Caffeine free, no added sugar, no preservatives, no emulsifiers.
Maple Moon’s Peppermint Buckwheat Crisp bar is the most textural of the range. Where the Coconut & Goji bar is smooth with occasional fruit pieces, this one has activated buckwheat throughout - small, crunchy, popcorn-like pieces that give the bar a satisfying crisp against the smooth carob base. The peppermint oil (<1%) hits first as a clean, cool freshness that lingers, then the carob and buckwheat come through underneath.
Carob is naturally sweet and caffeine-free - a genuine chocolate alternative rather than a chocolate substitute, with its own mild, earthy, slightly caramel character. The cacao butter provides the smooth, melt-in-mouth texture without any caffeine compounds from cacao solids. The activated buckwheat has been soaked and dried to remove enzyme inhibitors, making it easier to digest and giving it a lighter, crispier texture than raw buckwheat.
Handmade and hand-packaged in Byron Bay by Maple Moon, a local carob bar brand founded by Carli as a stimulant-free nighttime treat.
