The salt-and-sweet combination is as old as confectionery itself. Maple Moon’s Almond & Celtic Salt bar takes carob’s natural earthy sweetness and places it alongside chunky organic almonds for texture and the mineral complexity of Celtic sea salt - an unrefined, mineral-rich salt harvested from the Atlantic coast of France that has a rounder, more complex flavour than standard table salt or Himalayan rock salt.
The almonds sit as visible chunks throughout the bar rather than being finely ground - you get a genuine almond bite inside the smooth carob base. The Celtic salt is subtle, just enough to amplify the sweetness and add a savoury counterpoint at the finish. Two reviews, both five stars.

How to enjoy it
Eat at room temperature for the best texture - the bar softens slightly and the almonds are at their crunchiest. Works well as an after-dinner treat, a desk snack, on a cheese board, or alongside a cup of tea or coffee.
Storage: store in a cool, dry, dark place between 15°C and 22°C. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat. Refrigerate in summer.
