Hemp Foods Australia Hemp Gold Seed Oil 500ml
A cold-pressed organic hemp seed oil with a mild, nutty flavour and a lighter colour than traditional hemp seed oil. Finishing oil only - not suitable for frying. The 500ml size for regular users.
Hemp Foods Australia Organic Hemp Gold Seed Oil is cold-pressed from hulled hemp seeds rather than whole seeds, which is what makes it different from most hemp seed oils on the market. Pressing from hulled seeds produces a lighter golden colour, a milder and more delicate flavour, and a cleaner finish that works well in dressings, dips, and drizzles without the more pronounced green, grassy note that unhulled hemp seed oil can have.
The oil is cold-pressed and packed immediately into glass bottles to preserve freshness and protect the natural fatty acids from light and heat degradation. ACO certified organic, GMO free.
The 500ml bottle is the better-value size for households using hemp seed oil regularly - as a daily drizzle, a smoothie addition, or a regular salad dressing base. It gives you roughly double the volume of the 250ml at a lower cost per millilitre.
A note on what this product is not: Hemp Gold Seed Oil is a culinary food oil pressed from hemp seeds. It contains no CBD, no THC, and no cannabinoids. It is not a medicinal or therapeutic product.

How to use it
Hemp Gold Seed Oil has a low smoke point and breaks down under heat, so it should always be used cold or added to dishes after cooking.
- Salad dressings: use as the oil base in a simple vinaigrette with apple cider vinegar or lemon, Dijon, and salt
- Drizzle: over finished pasta, roasted vegetables, hummus, grain bowls, or sourdough
- Smoothies and shakes: add a tablespoon to a smoothie for an omega-3 boost - the mild flavour blends in without altering the taste
- Dips: stir through tahini, hummus, or baba ganoush
- Marinades: whisk into a cold marinade with tamari, garlic, and ginger for tofu or salmon - remove protein from the marinade before cooking rather than cooking in the oil
- Straight from the spoon: as a daily supplement, one tablespoon per day is the standard approach
Not suitable for: frying, high-heat roasting, or sauteing. The oil's fatty acids break down under sustained heat.
Storage
Store in the fridge. Hemp seed oil oxidises quickly once opened due to its high omega-3 content. Keep refrigerated, tightly sealed, and away from direct light. Use within 6 to 8 weeks of opening for best flavour and quality. The glass bottle helps protect against light degradation before opening. For the 500ml size, pour into a smaller bottle if you are slow to use it - less air space in the bottle means slower oxidation.
