Dr Bronner's Castile Liquid Soap Peppermint 946ml
The original 18-in-1 soap. Made with certified organic and fair trade plant oils, scented with pure peppermint essential oil, and concentrated so a little goes a long way.
Dr Bronner's Pure-Castile Liquid Soap in Peppermint is the brand's most popular scent and the bottle that earned the cult following. One bottle replaces face wash, body wash, shampoo, hand soap, dish liquid, laundry detergent, all-purpose spray, floor cleaner, and pet shampoo. The 946ml bottle is the family-sized version, designed to be diluted, so it lasts months in most households.
The peppermint variant is scented with organic peppermint essential oil, giving it that bright, tingling, cooling sensation people love in a morning shower or after a long day in the surf. Best for ages 3 and up, as peppermint can be strong on younger skin.
Why people love it
- 18-in-1 plant-based soap, made with organic coconut, olive, hemp and jojoba oils
- Certified fair trade, vegan, and cruelty free
- No synthetic preservatives, detergents, foaming agents, or dyes
- Biodegradable and septic-safe
- 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle
- 3x more concentrated than most liquid soaps, so the bottle goes a long way
How to use it (dilute, dilute, OK)
The whole point of castile soap is dilution. A few quick starting ratios:
- Face: 2 to 3 drops on wet hands, lather, rinse
- Body wash: small squirt on a wet washcloth
- Hand soap (foaming pump): 1 part soap to 3 parts water
- Dishes: 1 part soap to 10 parts water in a squeeze bottle
- All-purpose spray: 1/4 cup soap in 4 cups water
- Mopping floors: 1/2 cup soap in a bucket of warm water
- Laundry: 1/3 to 1/2 cup per large load (add 1 cup white vinegar to the rinse cycle)
- Pet wash: small squirt worked into wet fur, rinse thoroughly (peppermint isn't recommended for cats, use the Baby Unscented for them)
