Ceres Organics Green Thai Curry Paste 175g

$5.00

A medium-heat green Thai curry paste built on chilli, lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves - the most aromatic and herbaceous of the Ceres Thai curry range. 100% certified organic, coconut oil base, made in Sri Lanka.

Ceres Organics Green Thai Curry Paste is the most complex and aromatic of the three Thai curry pastes in the range. Where yellow is mild and turmeric-forward, green leads with chilli heat and a trio of fresh aromatics - lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves - that give green curry its characteristic bright, citrus-floral fragrance. The lime leaves in particular are what set green curry apart from every other curry style. There's nothing quite like them.

The heat is medium - noticeably warmer than the yellow paste, but not aggressive. Most people who enjoy regular curry will find it comfortably within range. If you're cooking for mixed heat tolerances, use slightly less paste and add more coconut cream to moderate.

The base is organic coconut oil and coconut vinegar with coconut sugar for subtle sweetness - no seed oils, no artificial additives, no MSG. Fully vegan. 12 serves per 175g jar at 14.5g per serve.

How to use it

Basic green curry (serves 4): heat a tablespoon of coconut oil in a large pan, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of paste and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant. Add your choice of protein or vegetables, stir to coat, then add 400ml of coconut cream and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Finish with fresh Thai basil, a squeeze of lime, and fish sauce or tamari to taste. Serve over jasmine rice.

Combinations that work particularly well with green paste:

  • Tofu and zucchini: the mild tofu absorbs the paste beautifully
  • Chicken and snow peas: the classic green curry pairing in Thai cooking
  • Prawn and eggplant: the brightness of the lime leaves works beautifully with seafood
  • Vegetable and chickpea: a fully plant-based version - add Ceres Organics chickpeas for protein
  • Pulled jackfruit: the herbaceous green paste is an excellent match for the Ceres Organics Pulled Jackfruit

Choosing your Ceres Thai curry paste

  • Yellow (mild): golden, turmeric-forward, gentle warmth. Best for mixed heat tolerances, families, and first-time Thai cooking
  • Green (this product, medium): aromatic, citrus-floral, chilli-forward with kaffir lime leaves. The most herbaceous and complex of the three
  • Red (medium-hot): bold, robust, deeper chilli character. The most versatile for meat and seafood

All three are the same certified organic, coconut-oil-based formula made in Sri Lanka at 175g per jar.
