Can you introduce yourself to our Santos Organics Community?

Hello, Santos Organics Community! I’m Theme Rains, the Founder and Formulator of Synthesis Organics. We’re a female-founded, family-run skincare and aromatherapy business born here in the Northern Rivers, and we’re thrilled to share our journey with you.

Our vision has always been to create a sanctuary where we could create our skincare products and grow organic produce to give back to our community. This dream took form on 5 acres in Federal, called Earth Rising. Over the past year and a half, we’ve completed our certified organic and GMP eco-factory on this land, producing our entire range of products and crafting for other Byron Shire brands.

Alongside our skin care, we’re delighted at the prospect of supplying Santos Organics with seasonal produce from our regenerative farming project once the land is fully certified.

My partner, Christopher, leads our farming team, who brings his deep passion for regenerative agriculture and expertise as a Biogeometry practitioner. He facilitates much of the farming here, working harmoniously with Mina and Tanika, our incredible “garden angels,” and Kenji, who has been instrumental in establishing our food forest. Together, they nurture our land with care and intention.

What are you currently growing on your farm?

At Earth Rising, we cultivate a variety of seasonal vegetables, including rocket, zucchinis, fennel, daikon radish, kohlrabi, mustard greens, parsley, coriander, carrots, and flowers, all nourished by regenerative and syntropic farming methods. We’ve even begun a small food forest, planting dozens of fruit and nut trees. Our property is harmonised with Biogeometry, incorporating these principles to energise and restore balance in our water, soil, and crops.

Apart from being organic, what other alternative methods of farming do you use? ⁠

Regenerative, syntropic. We have just planted a small food forest with dozens of fruit and nut trees. The property is also harmonised with Biogeometry and the farming also incorporates these harmonising principles in the water, planting and to restore balance.

What do you love about farming?

Witnessing the miracle of a seed transforming into a flower, vegetable, or tree never ceases to fill me with awe. It’s a privilege to work alongside nature and to feel her abundant energy in every aspect of our work.

Can you share one of your favourite ways to use something you grow for good health or healthy living?

One of my favourite ways to embrace the gifts of our land is by picking fresh herbs to brew into an infusion for tea. It’s a simple pleasure that celebrates the healing power of plants.
