You must try this recipe, trust me! The colour is um, well… a little intense, but I can assure you it doesn’t taste
too green! As long as you like citrus, you’ll love this super-juice.
With goji berries as one of the key superfoods in this recipe, you’ll be getting an extra-huge hit of vitamin C,
vitamin B2, vitamin A, iron, selenium and other antioxidants.
Gojis are said to help boost your immune system and brain activity and, as part of a healthy diet, may help
protect against heart disease. They are amazingly good for the adrenal glands!
The Number 2 superfood in this drink is spirulina! Again helping boost your immune system, this blue-green
algae are said to help safeguard you against viral infections and the like! It’s packed with highly digestible
protein, iron, essential fatty acids and antioxidants and has a high vitamin and mineral content. It contains
65-71 percent protein, the highest concentration of protein in any food – a complete protein containing
all eight essential amino acids and 18 amino acids! Spirulina’s protein is four times more digestible and
absorbable than meat!

Makes: 1 large juice (350ml)
Soaking time: 30 minutes
Preparation time: 5 minutes


2 tablespoons goji berries, soaked in 1⁄4 cup filtered water for 30 minutes and stirred a few times
1⁄4 cup filtered water
150ml freshly squeezed ruby grapefruit juice
100ml freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
12mm piece fresh ginger
1-2 teaspoons spirulina or other green powder of your choice


1. Place softened berries and soaking water in a blender with the remaining ingredients and blend until combined.

Tip! If you haven’t tried spirulina before, use only 1 teaspoon until you get used to
the taste. Even though the colour is striking with just 1 teaspoon (as in this photo),
