It is one of the most protein-rich plant foods (14% by mass), it is a source of complete protein - containing the 8 essential amino acids necessary for the human body. Quinoa also contains more iron than other grains and has high levels of potassium and riboflavin, as well as other Vitamin Bs: B6, Niacin, and Thiamine. It is also a good source of magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese and folic acid. Quinoa is a great grain alternative for people with gluten allergies; it has a delicious taste and is so easy to cook. Cook just like white rice.
