Freight and Delivery

How is Freight calculated?

The Santos Online Store provides 2 options for delivery to our valued customers. We aim to provide you with the most economical and/or fastest method depending on where you are and how much you order. Some destinations or weights are better served by Australia Post, others by the courier companies.

How long does it take?

We, at Santos, endeavour to get your order packed and out the door within 2 to 3 days of you placing it*, often sooner. Our warehouse is located in a small town on the North Coast of NSW so this does impact on delivery times as we are not in a major city. Most destinations along the eastern Seaboard would be served within 1 to 3 days of leaving here but as you head further west or off major routes that would extend to 4 – 5 days. Parts of South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and Northern Territory could take 10 – 14 working days. This needs to be considered as we can’t guarantee the temperatures/conditions once the carton leaves here.

Australia Post

Australia Post is quite economical for parcels up to 20Kg in New South Wales, Victoria, parts of Queensland, and especially for country or remote destinations all over Australia. There is a base charge plus a per kilo charge. You will maximise your Australia Post charges by ordering over 10kg and spreading that base charge out. Parcels over 20kg CANNOT be sent by Australia Post, and will be sent by road instead.

Fastway Couriers

Fastway Couriers are the best option if you are in the local region to us and generally very competitive for average orders of 10-25kg through major cities and towns in the eastern and southern states. They also have a variable base charge per carton (or sack) and this will cover up to 25kg, 10kg or 5kg depending on where you live and the total weight of your order. Excess charges apply for every 5kg or part there of when base rates only cover 5 or 10kg.
